Posters, talks and notes

All participants, including speakers, are requested to bring along a poster presenting their recent work. These posters do not need to be finished projects. Ongoing efforts and even open problems which are puzzling you will also be fine.

It is our experience that such posters, which will be on display in the coffee and rest area for the entire duration of the conference, are excellent catalysts for new collaborations.

Dimensions of the poster boards are: 80 cm width * 110 cm height.

Each poster presenter will have a chance to advertise his/her poster for 60 sec, showing no more than a single viewgraph. This poster preview session will be chaired by Robert Niven. If you want to show a viewgraph in either powerpoint or pdf, you must give it to him well in advance of the session. You may e-mail the content to R.Niven@adfa.edu.au or give it on a memorystick no later than the coffee break.

Contributed talks

A small number of time slots in the program will be assigned to contributed talks, selected for their relevance to the keynote topics and novelty, but not as a sign of exceptional quality.

Abstracts and papers

All participants contributing a talk or a poster must submit a 1-4 page abstract highligting the contents of the contribution. These abstracts are available on the Abstracts page. Only registered participants can submit abstracts.
There will also be an opportunity to publish full length papers in an issue of The Journal of Non-Equilibrium Thermodynamics as conference proceedings.

Keynotes

The keynote speakers will be asked to submit copies of their powerpoint slides, viewgraphs and keywords in advance of the workshop. These will be compiled into a set of conference materials, to be distributed during registration. This way you do not need to take extensive notes but can concentrate on understanding the talks and only make small comments in the margin of the notes.
